Useful Thyme

I was reading the Seattle Times online and found an interesting article on using thyme as a lawn. I love thyme and use it in my courtyard and as a border in the front of my home. It grows fast and requires little care. This article goes a step further and talks about the benefits thyme has on the environment. It is drought resistance and use very little water. Check out the article here.

Todays post caught my attention because I, too, have found an alternative to the traditional turf lawn. I had a small patch of Prunella when I moved to this house. I harvested the seeds and now I have quite a nice green groundcover that does not have to be mowed. I am a very new blogger, learning more each day.

I enjoy your blog. Blessings,~Mary~
